Janjaap Ruijssenaars, known for projects like Landscape House, Gravity Energy and Square House (AKA Tetris House), is the inventor of the Floating Bed and founder of Universe Architecture. He worked together with scientists from Bakker Magnetics to engineer and optimize the technique. It premiered at the Millionaires Fair Belgium, was awarded ‘Best Invention’ by TIME Magazine and a round version of the Floating Bed featured in the Hollywood movie Arthur.
